Genie Swanstrom - AMADEO Artists - Clay & Pottery

Genie is going to be showing her ceramics in the 8th Annual Ceramic Artists Studio Tour on February 21st and 22nd (next Sat. and Sun.). This is an educational event as well as an art show. She will be demonstrating throwing techniques on Sat. at 1 pm and Beth Shook will be demonstrating on Sun at 1 pm. The tour is put on by ASU and The Ceramic Research Center and part of the proceeds are donated to the Museum to keep it going.

This year Genie is in Beth Shook's new studio space (#11 on the tour guide). The studio is East of the intersection of Guadalupe and McQueen off Guadalupe. After the intersection, traveling East on Guadalupe there are light industrial/retail shops on the North side of the road. The second street after the intersection is Acacia. There is development signage Fiesta Ranch Commerce Park at Acacia. Turn left onto Acacia. The building that fronts Guadalupe off Acacia is Hope Medical. It's behind them. Building 1, suite 103. The door signage says dessadog studio.

Black Bird Music and Art Center

We have also met some cool friends at a local art supply and training place called Black Bird. They have a nice store and place to hang out and a cool open mic night. Check them out.

We had some super-wonderful guests this Sunday who are artists. They have some amazing figurative and abstract art designs - all my favorite colors, they have a love for greece and their art has a cool global feel - someof the art has a cubist-like feel mixed with impressionism - and some inspirational inspired pieces that are subtle in message and very beautiful, pieces that you could look at for a life-time time and be blessed. And one of the coolest things are they are from around here - in the Queen Creek area...

Check out their work, buy some, be blessed.
